Winner: The Emerging Entrepreneur Michelle Pietersen.  Michelle registered the Lofted B&B in May 2007. In August that same year she secured her first big contract

She was able to host 10 guests for a 3 month period and was able to employ 1 full time and 2 part-time workers. This contract positioned The Lofted B&B in the corporate market and many more contracts followed.

In 2008 Michelle upgraded her bathroom facilities to accommodate physically challenged guests.Her unique selling point is the personal services enjoyed by guests and the ambience of a family environment priding itself as a home away from home. Situated in Paarl, the B&B continues to grow in popularity.In addition to the B&B, Michelle  registered Yazeri Events Management in 2007, using this as a vehicle to have regular networking sessions for small business owners.

It was also contracted to host the Festival of Lights, which is an annual event of the Drakenstein Municipality, hosted in Paarl, Wellington, Gouda and Saron.
