The following details outlines the basic Guest House rules.
All we ask is that you follow them, HAVE RESPECT AND SHOW CONSIDERATION for the other Guests and consider how your actions will affect the Guests that will come here after you.
ADDITIONAL GUESTS – Any unregistered guest brought onto the property for any purpose without prior permission or knowledge of the Owners of the Lofted B&B will be charged a rate equal to the single rate applicable at the time. If you are found to have persons staying at the property who are not named on your reservation confirmation you are in breach of contract and may be denied access to the property. No refunds will be issued if you are refused accommodation due to breach of contract.
BREAKFAST - Breakfast is served from 07h00 to 09h00 in the dining room. Please arrange if you would like breakfast served at any other time.
DEPARTURE - Check out time is 10h00. Please inform us if a late departure is required. Any late check out will incur an additional days charge. Storage of baggage for the day, if required, can be done.
ARRIVALS - Check in time is any time after 14h00 but before 22h00. A late check in charge will be levied for those who have not made prior arrangements.
DINNER - Dinner is available on early request. There is a basic charge per head. Any specials will be discussed at the time as will the costs. Please inform us by no later than 11h00 the same day if you require dinner, Reservations are essential.
KEYS - Please look after your keys . A charge of R 300 will be levied should you lose the keys or take them home. Keys may be left with us in the office, should you not wish to take them with you on your journeys.
LAUNDRY - Laundry can be done by arrangement. Place any laundry items on your bed 09h00 for same-day service (weather permitting) and let housekeeping know. An Iron and ironing board is available for your use. Please ask.
MAGAZINES & BOOKS – You are welcome to read anything that you find in the House. Please do not remove any of the books or magazines from the premises.
MEDICAL ASSISTANCE - Call us immediately should you require assistance.
RECEPTION - We are usually around the house or in the office. Ask a staff member if you cannot find us.
SMOKING AREAS - Due to legal regulations, Smoking in the bedroom is not permitted. A special large cleaning fee will be levied for anyone not adhering to this rule.
SWIMMING POOL TOWELS - Pool towels are not available . Swimming at own Risk
VALUABLES & FIREARMS -All items of a valuable nature, are brought onto the premises of The Lofted B&B is at their owner's risk.
VISITORS' BOOK - Please make an entry in our visitors' book at reception. If you have enjoyed your stay with us please tell your friends - if you did not please tell us.
CHILDREN – must be kept under proper adult supervision at all times.
QUIET HOURS- are 10pm to 8am please keep noise levels to a minimum during this time
PARKING – is allowed in your designated area only. You will be assigned one parking place at check in. Do not block the driveway.
SERVICING -Your unit will be cleaned on a daily basis .All towels will be replaced on a daily basis. Linen will be changed every forth day.
UTILITIES –Please turn off all electrical appliances and lights when not in use and whenever you leave the room.
DAMAGE- Please report any inoperative equipment, damages, dangers or faults immediately. The registered guest is directly responsible for all negligent, accidental, intentional, or unintentional damage to the interior of the room or to the common areas caused by the guest, their family ,or their guests and will be charged for all repairs, replacement and other related expenses and costs. Leaving the room in an excessively dirty condition will result in an additional cleaning charge.
BEHAVIOR- Occupancy and use of premises and common areas shall not be such as to disturb or offend guests and residents. We have the prerogative to remove any disruptive guests with full forfeiture of rent and deposits for any violation of any of these rules.
Waiver of Liability: The Lofted B&B shall not accept responsibility for losses to the guests for any claims ,including but not limited to:
a)responsibility for personal body injury ,death, accident, lost ,stolen ,or damaged property, loss of mental or physical enjoyment delay or inconvenience. b)Any delays or changes in schedule or itineraries incurred by any person arising out of any wilful or negligent act or omission. c)The act or omissions of any party. d)Monetary crisis ,labour problems, economic changes ,mechanical maintenance or construction difficulties or noises ,climate aberrations, local laws ,novel or unexpected conditions. e)Additional expenses due to delay or changes in air or other services, missed carrier connections, substitute accommodations termination of services, cancellation of tickets, sickness, strike, war, quarantine ,pilferage, monetary crises, political or social unrest, disease, acts of God or any events beyond our control. Accordingly ,the guests covenant and agree that The Lofted B&B ,its owners and assigns are not responsible for any injuries or damages. Therefore, each guest agrees that he or she is voluntary participating in any and all activities ,risks, and use of the accommodations, facilities, swimming pool and equipment, and hereby assumes all risk of injury, illness,damage or loss to person and property that might result.
RESERVATIONS: may be made by email, phone or in person. A deposit of 50% of the reservation amount must be paid into our bank account to confirm reservation. The balance amount is payable on arrival. Upon cancellation your deposit is refundable if
a)there is a least a 30 day notice of cancellation and b)the room is re-rented for the same dates. c)A full cancellation fee will be charged if accommodation is cancelled less Subject to change: The Lofted B&B may amend these terms, Conditions & Rules from time to time.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST: DO NOT TAKE SOUVENIRS, THAT’S STEALING. PLEASE LEAVE OUR APPLIANCES, TOWELS, LINEN AND BLANKETS.
